There are two main considerations to take account of when choosing commercial doors; convenient movement of people and security.
If you have a retail premises and there is sufficient space either side of the door opening, an automatic sliding door may be a great option . On the other hand, an outward opening automatic door may be a better solution if your premises does not have the necessary space for sliding doors.
In either case, automatic doors are ideal for the free movement of people in and out of your premises.
In addition to the opening required, consideration must be made for the space required for the doors movement (in the case of outward opening doors) and ensuring that no obstructions can cause the door to be damaged or cause injury to people. In this case, sensors on the door can detect obstructions and cause the door not to operate if there is an obstruction in the swing area of the door opening.
Automatic doors also provide a high level of security, when the premises is not occupied.
Additional security can also be provided by roller shutters, outside the door area. These can be of solid construction, allowing no visibility through, or with grille style lath that allow your shop from displays to be viewed through the roller shutter.
Commercial doors are also suitable for many different types of premises, these can include:
Care homes, Hospitals, Surgery’s and clinics, Retail premises, Public buildings, Office buildings, sports and leisure facilities, schools and colleges to name but a few.
