ADS Insulated Sectional Overhead Doors give a guaranteed high thermal performance along with a great esthetically pleasing finish. Sectional Overhead doors have a thermal performance that is greater than required by building regulations and avoid cold bridging associated with traditional roller shutters.
The insulated door panel is formed from two 0.5mm thick internal and external facing sheets which form a 610mm x 40mm panel. The facing sheets are hot dip zinc coated ribbed steel, bonded together with high density polyurethane foam, giving a U value of 0.43W/M2 (which is greater than building regulation requirements for external walls). The panels have a class 1 surface spread of flame when tested to BS476: Part 7: 1971, and also has a tongue and groove hinged joint with a compressible neoprene weather seal running the full length of the panel to give excellent weather resistance. The outside of the door is finished off in white polyester as standard or as an extra, can be finished to a standard BS/RAL colour and popular colours from the HPS200 plastisol range. The inside of the door is finished in white polyester.
ADS sectional doors are counterbalanced to ensure the smooth running of doors, using minimal effort. All counterbalanced spring calculations are done to get the maximum life out of the door springs. The springs are tempered high tensile helical wound steel, which are heat treated for improved performance. The springs are mounted on a steel shaft supported by bearings brackets incorporating sealed bearing rollers, this ensures free running of the shaft. The weight of the doors is held by aircraft quality steel cable which are wound onto aluminium cable drums mounted on each shaft and incorporates a cable tensioning system. A cable brake safety device is fitted as standard on all ADS doors.
The roller carriers are adjustable and, along with the intermediate panel hinges, are hot dipped galvanised steel. The rollers which run in the side track are sealed for life. Self-lubricating bearings complete with a nylon tyre are used to give a smooth and quiet operation, and are mounted on a zinc plated steel support bracket.
The door tracks are galvanised steel ‘J’ type, these are mounted on a galvanised steel jamb angle, for fixing purposes, via a unique stud welding system which ensures the most effective seal to the building as the tracks need no adjustment on site.
All sectional doors are fully perimeter sealed, as well the intermediate panel seals, to provide the most effective weather seal to your door assuming all fixing faces, floors and lintels are flush and square.
ADS offer a range of manual and automatic operations, including the latest, patented, D.C motor drive system which incorporates a large number of safety features as standard.
Available in a range of Polyester or HPS200 finishes. A list of standard colours are available upon request. We also offer a factory paint finish, please ask our sales department for details.
Guide Track Options
Guide tracks are individually manufactured to suit site safety factors. These are looped and swaged using a hydraulic press to ensure the cables do not get detached from the cable drums or the brackets which connect the cables to the bottom of the door panels conditions.
Many other options are available on request including (but not limited to) double glazed windows, integral personnel doors in the main door and door safety furniture.
